I'm so broke now...

So today, as I was surfing on the internet, I received an e-mail from ASOS announcing their autumn sale. I then decided to look at what they had to offer. And then I found this very cute bikini that was exactly what I was looking for... retro, but yet modern enough to not look like your grandma's bikini and... just enough fabric to actually cover whatever I don't want to show.

I bought a Burberry triangle bikini ages ago, but never wore it until today. The reason is because it is so revealing... well... in my standards anyway... and I don't feel really comfortable to wear something like that around my parents and their friends. But this, I don't think I would mind.

And as I was browsing just for the heck of it, I also stumbled on this nice piece of beach wear to use to cover up my bikini. I thought the style was so different from other ones that I have seen before and it was a real bargain (£5). So since I was getting a bikini anyway, I though... why not!

So here we go... about £30 spent in one day on clothing items that I won't be wearing until next year. Ok, so to fill out that hole in my budget... lets not eat for a week! ;)

Jergens Natural Cocoa Butter

I have finished one new product today and it's the Jergens Natural Cocoa Butter body moisturizer. When I was in Canada, Jergens would be the only body moisturizer I would use because it wasn't greasy and absorbed quickly and made my skin feel silky smooth all day. But after moving to England, I couldn't find that product for as cheap and they only have the natural collection. But one day, at Superdrug, it was on sale so I decided to buy two bottles to try that natural collection in the hope that it would be as good as the normal one. I bought the cocoa butter and the jojoba oil. The first one I tried was the cocoa butter.

It smelled divine; I love the smell of cocoa! But I was disappointed at how it worked. It did moisturize my skin all day long, but it took ages to be absorbed into my skin because it is so thick. Also, it made my skin so sticky and left it sticky until hours after its application. I still believe in Jergens and its products... but I might use this one more at night times because during the day, it is way too sticky, especially when I wear tights.

I tried the other one today, the Jojoba oil, and it comes in a pump since I bought the bigger version. That one isn't as sticky and absorb quite quickly. So that other one sounds promising as my replacements for the lotion I usually use.

Overall, I still love Jergens because it's affordable and does wonders to my abnormally dry skin.

What are your thoughts?

New makeup brush roll and makeup brushes...

So, in my boredom, I went on Amazon a few days ago to look for something interesting to buy. That's when I stumbled upon this makeup brush roll that could hold up to 24 makeup brushes for only a little less than a tenner. Because I am too cheap to invest in a good makeup brush roll, I decided to buy it. It arrived today. For once in weeks, I was excited about something!

** Picture not mine.
I knew the brushes would be cheap and indeed, they were really badly made. The bristles were scratchy and cut unevenly. But I'm sure I can find some use for most of them. When I washed the brushes I intended to use on my face in a near future, I was surprised that didn't bleed... but not so surprised that it shed quite a bit. But because I didn't expect much from the brushes, I just couldn't care less!

Now, on to the brush roll. It has a strange fake leather smell to it, but it'll go. It is quite large so even the brushes I thought were too long fit in it perfectly. It looked solid and... I don't know what else to say really. It's just a black brush roll that will be really useful since I'll be moving quite a lot for the next few months, sharing my time between Canada and England.

So all in all, it was a nice purchase. But don't expect more than what you paid for!

I want I want I want...

I want to go back to Canada where my home and my past is...

And yet, I want to stay with my boyfriend in England, where my future is...

I want new clothes, new shoes, new makeup brushes, new makeup...

But I want to save money to find an apartment to share with my boyfriend...

I want to be with my parents whom I love so dearly...

But I want to be free of any emotional ties that keeps me from blooming...

I want everyone that I love to be happy...

But I also want to be happy...

First post...

On a grey Wednesday morning, I sat by my window with a cup of tea warming my hands. After minutes of staring at an endlessly empty horizon, I thought: "Why not create a blog!"...
